I agree. Obama has suffered a long period of disconnection from the role he needs to fulfill. Part of the trouble was carried over from the Bush maladministration with that set of big bankers including Summers & Geithner. Would that he had not brought these clever tricksters along. They must have talked very convincingly. As I see it, it's not too late to bring in Reich, Dean and some good progressives (not Carville, he's okay but married to the 'enemy.') Yes, the Fed is a problem, seeming more interested in supporting the bankers than either Main Street or the common folks. I'm as sure today as on 11-1 that the Repuglicans have shot their own legs off, and that a bad economy will not bring Obama down as the assholes hope, because all sensible people today are awake to the House shenanigan pullers! For the new House members obedient to the Tea Party, the fallout in 2012 will be devastating. No amount of money large enough can get poured in (through Citizen's United) to save the GOP.
